If you would like us to pray for you or a friend, or for some issue that is on your mind, please send us a Prayer Request
The approach of the Human to the Divine, the link between the soul and God; or, simply, a 'conversation with God'.
WAYS OF PRAYING
You can pray in a group or on your own.
A prayer can be personal and does not need to be spoken out loud or written down, unless you want it to be. You can say it in your head using your own words. Take time to think about what you want to say to God before you pray.
Find a space where you are comfortable to say your prayer and take your time - don't be rushed. However, prayer can take place at any time and anywhere - as you see the need. If you can't be in your special place, then talk to God when you are doing things you usually do, such as walking to school, work or college; walking the dog; doing the housework; travelling on the bus or metro,...
WHAT TO PRAY FOR?
Think of all that is wonderful: the universe – stars, atoms, animals, plants; air, sea and sky; music, art, science, literature; love, goodness, sympathy … then adore God and worship Him that we live in such a wonderful world.
Think of all the things that make your own world so good – your life, health, strengths and abilities, and what gives value to your life – fellow humans, your activities, your environment, your possessions … then thank God.
Think of all the things you are ashamed of – bad thoughts, words, actions, and be sorry for them. God will forgive you your sins if you are truly sorry and confess your weaknesses, and will help you overcome them in future.
Think of all the other things that are wrong in the world – wars, violence, crime, famine, sickness – and petition God to relieve those who suffer, known to you or not, and to help you to do something for them too.
Think of the things that could make your own life better – health and fitness, skills and achievement at work or play, improved relationships and good things for those close to you – and ask God for those things which are most dear to your heart.

There are several ways you can help youself organise your time so that all areas of life can be prayed for over a period. Here is one example, based on the days of the week! The idea is that it will eventually become natural to associate a particular day with its prayer activity.
Sunday = S ; Saviour (Praising God)
Monday = M ; Me (Prayers for ourselves)
Tuesday = T ; Thank you (Giving thanks to God)
Wednesday = W ; World (Prayers of intercession for any part of the country or world)
Thursday = T ; Those around us (Praying for people we know at work, school or college and in our communities)
Friday = F ; Family and friends (Praying to people who are closest to us)
Saturday = S ; Sorry (Saying sorry to God for the things we have done wrong)
