Additional facilities

In addition to the room spaces, we can provide, on request, a flip chart board and projector (for a small charge). Public wifi is available in the meeting rooms.

Refreshments are available, during the day, in the award winning Cafe 1901. Special arrangements should be made with them directly for your catering needs.

Kettles and crockery are available in Jes Space kitchen. A water heater and mugs for tea/coffee can be made available in The Studio and Seminar Room, especially in the evenings, upon request. Normally you would be expected to provide your own tea/coffee, milk and sugar, but this can be provided by us, at cost, on request.

Location of JMC

JMC is located in St George's Terrace, adjacent to the local shopping area of West Jesmond in Acorn Road and not far from Osborne Road. Tesco Extra is across the road, fronting on Acorn Road, and round the corner at the further end of Acorn Road is the recently opened Waitrose supermarket.

We are about 200m from West Jesmond Metro station - about 3-4 minutes walk. There are regular bus routes tht include Osborne Road.

Car parking during the day is available in certain parts of St George's Terrace and adjacent streets. You are strongly recommended to read the parking restriction signs carefully, as they are not all the same, even in the same road! You have been warned! In the evenings parking is more freely available in adjacent streets.

Charges and Bookings

Charges for room hire are based on the nature and purpose of the bookings and vary from £5 to £20 per hour with discounts for half day and full day bookings. Special rates apply to charities, Jesmond community groups and small businesses.
