Social Justice Projects

"Remember, some days you are the only Jesus people meet"

At JMC we believe it is vitally important, both for our own development, and for that of the wider community, to practice what we believe on a practical level - afterall, actions speak louder than words.

We have a commitment to social justice related events and activities.

A new project we have initiated is our Jes Craft handicraft group. This will build on and extend what we have done for years - the Knit4Africa Project.

We support Common Ground through fund raising events and regular collections of food and clothing.

We support Fair Trade goods.

In past years, we have focused our Harvest festivals on particular projects around the world. For example, Water Aid in 2009. Our 2010 Harvest appeal was made on behalf of Send a Cow. In 2011, we worked with Oxfam to support the East Africa Famine Appeal.
