St George's Terrace, Jesmond, Newcastle, NE2 2DL
At JMC, you’ll see a small church doing big things. And we’d love you to be part of it!
We are located right in the student heart of Jesmond (on St. George’s Terrace), a few minutes walk from West Jesmond Metro and across the road from Tesco Metro on Acorn Road.
Students are an extremely loved, valued and life-giving part of the family here at JMC. Whoever you are and wherever you’re at, we'd love you to join us as we discover more of what it means to follow Jesus.
As a church community we are creating an environment that is encouraging and supporting, where students are strongly encouraged to develop in discipleship and use their gifts. At JMC you'll be part of a friendly and loving community and have the opportunity to meet people of all ages and backgrounds.
We believe that your student years can be one of the most fruitful times of your life, and so at JMC we are working to equip, resource and encourage our students as they seek to live faithful and radical lives of discipleship at university. There’s plenty to get involved with including Worship, Alpha, Social Justice, Small Groups, Hospitality, Student Gatherings, Creative Prayer and Mission throughout the year. We are also part of the chaplaincy of both universities and are connected to Fusion Student Ministries as well as The Methodist Student Fellowship.
Sunday Sanctuary Come and partake of Deli Church @ 18.15hrs on Sundays - an informal and relaxed time to meet with God, with worship time and discussion!

I have felt very welcomed at JMC, on Sunday at the different services and at house-groups. It has been good to feel a part of a church community again. - Sarah Givans, Northumbria University Postgraduate Student
JMC has been such an amazing place to stretch my giftings and discover new ways to love and serve my friends both within and around our church family. - Grace Cooper, English and History Graduate, Newcastle University.
