JesCraft meets every Wednesday between 10.00am – 12.00pm in JesSpace, above 1901 Caffe Bistro. Members chat, drink coffee or tea, and work on creative projects. In addition to making blankets, hats and teddies destined for Syria, we have knitted hats for the People’s Kitchen and Seamen’s Mission, and more recently poppies for the WW1 anniversary. Members also undertake their own craft projects, making everything from bags to baby shoes, hats to prayer shawls, using different skills such as knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, sewing and embroidery.
Anybody is welcome to come along and join in regardless of age, gender and skill level. There is no subscription; to join is free. If you have the needles, please bring them with you. If you are an expert, come and share your skills with the others. If this is something you have never tried before, but you fancy starting a new hobby, do come along.
