Here at Jesmond Methodist Church, there’s always something happening to help you feel connected, supported, and part of our growing community. Throughout the week we gather in a variety of ways — from house groups that make room for friendship, prayer, and deeper discipleship, to a wide range of church groups that offer opportunities to serve, learn, worship, and simply enjoy being together.

Church Building House Group
Our fortnightly house group meets in the comfort of the church building, offering a relaxed and welcoming space to pause in the middle of a busy week. Together we explore Scripture, pray for one another, and share openly about faith and daily life. Whether you’re new to small groups or have been part of one for years, this group provides a friendly, supportive rhythm of fellowship and growth every two weeks.
Questions Small Group
Our fortnightly discussion group meets to explore life’s big questions about faith, purpose, and meaning. In a relaxed and open setting, we think deeply together, share perspectives, and create space for honest conversation as we seek to understand what following Jesus looks like today.
Shieldfeild Small Group
This house group meets fortnightly in the creative setting of Shieldfield Art Works, offering a welcoming space to explore faith through conversation, prayer, and shared reflection. It’s a friendly, relaxed group where people can grow together and connect with God in the heart of the Shieldfield community.
Create Space
Create Space is a relaxed, sociable group where people come together to chat, unwind, and enjoy making things—from simple crafts to creative projects. It’s a warm, welcoming environment for anyone who likes a bit of creativity and good company.
Youth @JMC
Our youth group is a fun, welcoming space where young people can hang out, build friendships, and explore faith in a way that’s real and relevant to them. Through games, discussion, and activities, we create a safe environment where everyone can belong, grow, and discover more about life and faith together.
Thursday House Group
This house group meets every other Thursday for a warm, informal time of conversation, Bible study, and prayer. It’s a friendly space to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together as part of a supportive mid-week rhythm.
